| Vampire |
An undead creature that survives by drinking blood, Vampires are sometimes described as having transformation powers. The most common of these transformations are changing into a bat, a wolf, or mist. On exposure to sunlight they transform into dust (a handy thing to know if you're short on wooden stakes, crosses, Holy Water and garlic- all vampire deterrents.) |
| Versipellis |
In Latin, "Turnskin" - an ancient Roman term for werewolf. |
| Vertaur |
A term used for a sort of humanoid horse morph. |
| Virtual Reality |
A term used to describe a lifelike setting generated within a computer. While current technology and interface limitations limit it to being projected on a screen, it is conceivable that in the future as technology advanced there will be an interface device that will allow you to place your mental consciousness within a virtual reality generated by the computer. While the first applications of this will be limited to sports games and such, as the technology expands into the mass market games and applications could be created to allow people to construct their virtual furry or transformational forms and find out what it is like to exist in those forms, and interact with other people in a super realistic RPG game. |
| Virus |
1. A snippet of DNA that hijacks a cell and forces it to generate more copies of itself, which spreads and repeats the process. 2. A computer program that does the same thing as a biological virus. 3. In transformation, viruses and microorganisms have been used to cause transformations as they "reprogram" their host's DNA and alter them. A prime fictional example of this is Greg Bear's "Blood Music". See also Nanotechnology. |
| Vixen |
1. A female fox. 2. A foxy female. |
| Vore |
Fantasizing about being eaten alive, usually whole. Not quite cannibalism, but close. |
